COLLAGE WORKSHOP

£75 per person · 2.5 hours · Maximum six participants · Homerton, East London

Join artist Ehryn Torrell for a relaxed, hands-on collage workshop in her East London studio. Beginning with inspiring examples from the history of collage, you’ll explore how artists have used found images to tell stories, create surprising connections, and make the familiar feel strange.

Working with magazines, coloured papers, and found materials, you’ll experiment with cutting, tearing, layering, scale, and composition to create your own unique collages. Ehryn brings 25 years of professional art practice and more than a decade of university-level teaching experience, offering supportive guidance while encouraging you to develop your own visual language.

No previous experience is needed. Beginners and more experienced makers are equally welcome. Small group format of up to 6 people.

Your workshop includes:

All collage materials, tools, and adhesives
Examples and reference materials to inspire your work
Supportive guidance throughout the session
Tea and coffee
Your finished collages to take home

You are welcome to bring personal images or materials to include. For family photographs or anything precious, please bring photocopies or printed reproductions rather than the originals.

The studio building is fully wheelchair accessible, featuring level access, extra-wide doorways, a spacious passenger lift to all floors, and accessible restroom facilities. The full studio address and arrival information will be provided after booking.

Come alone or with friends for a welcoming, screen-free session of looking, making, and experimentation. Available dates are listed below. Please contact Ehryn to request another date or arrange a private booking.
