A late 19th century carousel set amongst stately buildings and foregrounded by the suggestion of a military vehicle. An exploration of smudge-covered glass surfaces and the 800m of covered escalators built for commuters in Hong Kong. A patch-work building seemingly plucked from a 1980s science fiction film. The works here flux between collaged scenes that attempt to unpack the complexity of contemporary urban experience to a more introspective examination of domestic interiors, both of which describe emotive states. Here, light and colour become key metaphors for linking experience, politics and poetics.
